How do I open a WorkCover claim?
If you experience a work-related injury, it’s important to inform your employer and see a doctor promptly. Your GP can assess your injury and provide a WorkCover certificate of capacity to start your claim.
Do I need to pay for my first WorkCover consultation?
In some cases, the first consultation fee may need to be paid upfront, but this is reimbursed once your claim has been approved. After lodging your claim, your insurer will issue you with a claim number and assign you a case manager — please share these details with your doctor so we can help manage your recovery and bill any future fees to them.
