Priscilla Lao (Clinical Psychologist)

Priscilla is a Clinical Psychologist and founder of Well Beings Clinical Psychology. She works alongside the team at Health Hub Narwee, seeing older adolescents (16+) and adults on-site. Her clinical background includes training at St George Hospital’s Medical Rehabilitation Unit, working with inpatient trauma populations at South Coast Private Hospital, and private practice.

She believes people deserve to be truly well, not just get by — and that good care starts with understanding and respecting each person’s unique experiences and circumstances.

Priscilla enjoys working with people across a broad range of experiences and concerns — including many that people carry quietly for a long time before reaching out. She has a particular interest in:

  • Trauma, including PTSD and complex or childhood trauma
  • Anxiety and depression
  • OCD, tic disorders, and body-focused repetitive behaviours
  • Relational patterns

Priscilla works from a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive foundation, drawing on schema therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, and specialist treatments such as CBIT and ComB.

Sessions are available through a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan (GP MHTP) or Chronic Condition Management Plan (CCMP). Private billing is also available — no referral needed.

Outside of work, Priscilla can usually be found with her dog Luna, junk journalling — her reminder that things don’t need to be perfect — trying a new restaurant, or on the pickleball court. She’s naturally curious, loves to travel, and values meaningful connection with the people in her life.
